About The Artist

Brandon Campbell is a sculptor whose practice centers on hand-carved stone — an increasingly rare discipline within contemporary art. Each piece is carved directly from stone without digital modeling, fabrication, or replication. As a result, every work is singular and unrepeatable, carrying both the permanence of its material and the evidence of the human hand.
He was introduced to stone carving at Del Mar College and later earned his BFA from George Mason University. In parallel, he spent over two decades as a professional sculptor in the film industry, refining a deep sensitivity to form, balance, and finish that now informs his studio practice.
Brandon’s source of inspiration is found in nature, capturing its movement and natural recurring shapes in stone. He does not force the stone but rather waits for it to reveal its shape, each piece has a different story to tell. Sacred geometry, spirituality, mysticism, science fiction and ancient anthropology are key components in his development as an artist. Stone is a great teacher and through his process its lessons are revealed.
